I’m starting off #SpringSweetsWeek with a easy cake doughnut recipe!
Orange Unicorn Doughnuts get its flavor from fresh squeezed Cara Cara orange juice and a bit of zest too! Fanciful sprinkles make Unicorn colors pop!
These cake doughnuts have intense orange flavor. I added Cara Cara juice to both the doughnut and the glaze. A bit of zest in the glaze gave it more orange flavor and a beautiful orange color.
Sweets & Treats sprinkles let you turn any dish into a colorful treat. These colors say unicorn to me!
Special thanks to Dixie Crystals, Melissa’s Produce, and Sweets & Treats for sponsoring this post!
Make the batter easy to spoon but not runny. Fill the doughnut tray about 1/2 to 3/4 full.
Bake the doughnuts for about 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Your doughnuts are ready when it lightly springs back when gently pressed.
Dip the cooled doughnuts in the homemade orange glaze. Sprinkle immediately with sprinkles.
