Salmon in five, four, three, two, one! Its dinner!
This week our Sunday Supper group is counting ingredients but not necessarily calories!
Thank you Alice from Hip Foodie Mom for hosting this week! Take a minute to visit Alice and see all her wonderful meal ideas!
Cooking with only a few ingredients can be quite a challenge. Balancing a full flavor profile might seem impossible. But sometimes simply put together dishes are a must.
The salmon worked so well with only a few enhancements. You can switch it up by changing sauces, seasonings or even how you prepare it.
I served this salmon over a rice blend but it would go as well with a salad or baked potato.
Five Ingredients or Less turned out to be such a popular event that we have over 60 members sharing ideas!
What dish do you prepare that transforms into awesome with 5 ingredients or less? We were spotted salt, pepper, oil. I’d add water if its used as a cooking medium and not ingredient.
Here is my Salmon with Tiger Dill Sauce. Horseradish gives this an extra kick!
- 2 4-ounce salmon fillets
- Seafood, Cajun seasoning or salt and pepper
- Cooking oil spray
- ½ cup light sour cream
- 1 Tablespoon horseradish
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a glass baking dish with cooking spray and arrange fish skin side down. Spray top with cooking spray and season to taste. Cover with foil and bake until opaque and fish easily flakes, about 20 minutes per 1½ inch piece.
- While fish is cooking, fold horseradish and dill into sour cream. Serve.
Enjoy these great 5 ingredient of less ideas from The Sunday Supper Group!
