Turkey Ham Mac and Cheese serves smokey turkey ham with everyone’s favorite creamy cheesy casserole!

The topic for January is baked pasta. Use your noodle and bake up something delicious!
For this month’s bake, I went with an old favorite.
Mac and Cheese!
Sometimes we like a bit of meat in ours. I’ve used bacon, hamburger and even salmon. Today we were hungry for Turkey Ham Mac and Cheese.
Turkey Ham Mac and Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped turkey ham
- 2 cups dry pasta
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 4 ounces cheddar, shredded
- salt and pepper to taste
Cheese sauce
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.
- Whisk together milk, cornstarch, butter, mustard, salt and pepper in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-low heat. Boil about 1 minute, reduce heat and simmer, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Remove from heat and whisk in cheese.
- Add macaroni and turkey ham.
- Bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes until thoroughly heated and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
