I like to cook and bake with fresh squeezed juices. Citrus brightens the recipe so I use it whenever I can.
Melissa’s Blood Oranges are so fragrant, juicy and sweet! Selefina Cardamom and Taylor & Colledge vanilla enhance the flavor . So good!
In this case blood oranges brought sweet and tangy taste to the table.
I like to make extra crumbs and sprinkle those crumbs over cut muffin pieces.

Ingredients
muffin
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup blood orange juice strained (2 to 3 oranges)
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
Instructions

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour large cup muffin pan. Set asdide. In a medium sized bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add milk, juice, egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, cardamom, baking powder and salt. Add half dry ingredients to wet mixture, stir. Repeat with reaining wet mixture.

- Mix together flour and sugars. Fold in cold butter and mix to form crumbs. Set aside.
bake
- Fill prepared pan cups with 1/4 cup batter. Bake at 350 for aboout 15 to 20 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Sprinkle crumbs over muffins. Cool muffins several minutes in paan before moving to a rack to cool. Add addintional crumbs to cooled muffins.
