Chocolate and more chocolate… Rich, chewy soft chocolate cookies just because. I don’t need a special occasion for chocolate. Do you?
I admit I have a weakness for chocolate and no self control. I’ll race anyone to the finish line over a plate of these cookies. The good news is that I don’t do it often, but I feel we all need to indulge once in a while. Are you with me? Good. Here’s the recipe!
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups chocolate chips of your choice, regular, mint, extra dark, or mix them up
Directions
Cream together butter and sugars.
Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to butter mixture.
Add chocolate chips.
Drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes depending on the cookie size.
Keep a close eye on them, chocolate chocolate chip seems to burn faster than regular chocolate chip cookies.
