My first trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee was jam packed with things to do. Gatlinburg really has it all.
This tiny community hidden in The Great Smoky Mountains consists of artisans, outdoor fun opportunities, great food and amusements to entertain the entire family.
Almost everything imaginable is within walking distance downtown. Hotels, eateries, amusements, crafts, shopping, music venues, sporting and even an Aquarium. If you would rather ride, you can take the trolley!
I’m a food adventurer by nature. So I had to try Happy Hour at the Hilton Garden Inn where we enjoyed our stay. Thanks Zac for the great service and awesome wings!
Chase the chills around the fire pit.
Sweet chili was my pick!
If you love a good hearty breakfast, FlapJacks Pancake House has you covered. I heard so many good things about their breakfast. A true family value.
So many fun things for the whole family to experience can be found at the Official Gatlinburg Attractions Website. Places to hike, fish, zipline, camp and so much more.
A visit to Gatlinburg would not be complete without a trip to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. So many fun things to do from the underwater shark walk to the kids zone. Be sure to visit the Penguin house!
For more great Ripley attractions in and around Gatlinburg, visit their website. Here you’ll find about Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Moving Theather, Mirror Maze,
After a stop at the Hollywood Star Cars Museum, Savannah Bee Company and shopping, we visited a local arts and crafts community.
At Arrowmont School for Arts and Crafts, all ages are welcome to take classes.
Don’t miss the exhibits!
I highly recommend a family trip to Gatlinburg to experience all this little town in the Smokies has to offer. Art, music, attractions, outdoor fun, great food and more await you in Gatlinburg.
