We love all kinds of burgers. Beef, turkey and chicken appear in a regular burger rotation. I was working on ideas for chicken burgers when I received an assortment of chocolate bars from Forte Chocolate. One bar stood out as a choice for my chicken burger, Lemon & Pepper in White Chocolate. Chicken, lemon and pepper go so well together in so many dishes. The white chocolate adds richness and sweetness balanced by the tart lemon and a bit of heat from the pepper.
Ground chicken, onion, celery and thyme are the burger base. I stirred in one melted Forte Lemon & Pepper in White Chocolate Bar. Fry the burger as usual and serve on your favorite roll.
I skipped the cheese, just lettuce and tomato.

Lemon Pepper Chicken Burgers
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground chicken
- 1 (1.58 ounce) bar Forte Lemon & Pepper in White Chocolate Bar
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- salt to taste
- 2 rolls (optional)
Instructions
- Saute onion and celery in oil until tender.
- Mix together chicken, cooked vegetables, thyme and salt.
- Melt Forte Lemon & Pepper in White Chocolate Bar in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time until completely melted. Fold into chicken mixture.
- Form into 2 patties.
- Spray skillet with cooking spray. Fry in medium hot skillet, flipping burgers once. Cook until internal temperature reaches 165.
- Serve on roll with desired condiments.
